UK product requirements
Single-use vapes are banned from sale and supply in the UK, including online. For regulated nicotine products, applicable rules include a maximum 2 ml tank capacity, 10 ml nicotine refill bottle limit and maximum 20 mg/ml nicotine strength, plus relevant warnings, notification and packaging requirements.
Product due diligence
Each product must be checked against current MHRA notification requirements, manufacturer and supplier documentation, compatibility evidence, UK packaging and labelling requirements, and restrictions applying in each delivery destination. No listing should imply approval without supporting evidence.
Advertising and claims
Nicotine-containing e-cigarette advertising is subject to significant UK restrictions, including restrictions on online promotional communications. Product information must remain factual and must not target children or imply medical benefits without authorisation.
Waste and batteries
Electrical vaping equipment and batteries must not be placed in general household waste. Retailers must establish appropriate WEEE take-back and recycling arrangements where required.
